Mr. Littleford helps innovators, entrepreneurs, and businesses secure patents, trademarks, and copyright protection. His practice encompasses U.S. and international patents and trademarks, guiding clients through the full life cycle of IP protection—from drafting and prosecution to portfolio management, licensing, litigation support, and opinion work.

He advises clients across a range of industries, with particular experience in biomedical innovations, including medical devices, diagnostics, brain-computer interfaces, surgical instruments, biosensors, and various mechanical and chemical technologies. He also assists clients in building and protecting their brands through domestic and foreign trademark prosecution, trademark portfolio management, and trademark strategy.

Mr. Littleford holds a biomedical engineering degree, cum laude, from the University of Utah, where he conducted research in the neurology department and authored a paper on the autonomic physiology of brain injury. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark School of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. He is the author of the published article “Whoever Invents or Discovers”: Artificial Intelligence and the Case for Joint Inventorship, 50 BYU L. REV. 491 (2024).

Seth is a member of the State Bar of California and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also fluent in Spanish
