Patent Associate

Responsibilities: Under general direction performs patent prosecution, patent strategy, due diligence, licensing, some trademark counseling and prosecution, and other legal services for clients as needed.
Technical Background: Mechanical or biomedical engineering background preferred. Other science and engineering degrees considered.
Experience: 2-6 years of prosecution experience preferred.
Qualifications: California Bar and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office registration required.

2025 Summer Associate

Responsibilities: Performs patent prosecution, patent strategy, due diligence, licensing, some trademark counseling and prosecution, and other legal services for clients as needed.
Technical Background: Technical undergraduate degree required. Mechanical or biomedical engineering background strongly preferred.
Bar: Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office strongly preferred, eligibility to take the U.S. patent bar required.

Salary Information: The summer associate compensation for Summer 2025 will be determined by March 2025. The summer associate compensation for Summer 2024 was $125.48/hr, $10,038.46/bi-weekly, $261k/annual.
