Lucas M. Paez

Mr. Paez’s practice focuses primarily on domestic and foreign patent drafting and prosecution and IP due diligence for clients of all sizes. He also has experience in trademark prosecution, IP strategy, and opinion work.

Prior to law school, Mr. Paez was a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in art unit 3771 (medical and surgical instruments). His technical experience ranges from medical implants to mechanical and electrosurgical technologies.

Mr. Paez holds a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology law. He is a member of the state bar of California and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
