Mr. Giovannetti’s practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, patent portfolio management, and counseling related to patent strategy. He also has experience performing patentability, validity, and infringement assessments, and conducting intellectual property due diligence. He has represented clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in patent interference proceedings and before federal courts in patent litigation proceedings.

Mr. Giovannetti’s technological experience includes medical devices and other mechanical and electrical devices. He’s also worked with various technologies in the biotechnological and chemical arts, including small molecule and protein therapeutics, bioinformatics, diagnostic assays and kits, recombinant DNA and protein technology, and biodegradable compositions.

Mr. Giovannetti is a registered patent attorney and a member of the State Bar of California. He has a B.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of California at Davis and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. Mr. Giovannetti previously worked as an associate at Perkins Coie LLP.
